Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are the prices of the clocks?  I am always buying / selling / trading these clocks so please email me for pricing and availability.

  1. Do you have any wooden versions available?  I only have the plastic kits. I do not know of  a source for the wooden version or if anybody even makes one. If you do have information on wooden Ball Clocks, let me know.
  1. How many balls does the clock use?  The bottom rail uses 1 large silver ball. The middle rail uses a medium black ball. The top rail uses a small black ball.  30 of the regular silver balls are needed for the feed rail.
  1. Do you have any parts for the Idle-Tyme ball clocks? No, I only have parts for the Arrow Handicraft version kit #675.
  1. Do you sell replacement motors for the ball clocks and domino clocks?  I will sell a replacement motor only if you have your old one to trade in. If you have already taken the motor apart, I may not honor a trade.
  1. What is your warranty on your clocks and motors?  The clocks and parts are sold as-is. Sales are final. Restoring the clocks is a hobby of mine. This is not Walmart.  These machines were quirky even back when they were new. I cannot make a warranty on a novelty clock that is nearly 30 years old. If there is an issue I will always try to assist.
  1. Do you have parts for the Time Machine? I do not have parts for the Time Machines other than the ball bearings. I do not know of any source to replace the Time Machine motors. If you have found one, please let me know.
  1. Do you ship clocks and parts internationally?  I will ship the clocks and/or parts to any country. I typically use U.S Postal Airmail. If you want another carrier, just let me know.
  1. What is the turnaround time for a motor repair? Typically I service the motors the same day I get them and ship them the following day.
  1. I haven't gotten a reply to my email. Why not? I answer every email I get from this site, usually within a couple of days. I get tons of spam and sometimes a legitimate email can fall through the cracks. If you haven't gotten a reply after a few days, you should email me again.

  2. I want to build my own clock from scratch. Do you have any plans or blueprints?  Sorry I don't have any documentation on how to make your own clock.
